Endoscopic Ear Surgery

Home / Endoscopic Ear Surgery

Endoscopic Ear Surgery is a modern, minimally invasive approach used to diagnose and treat various conditions affecting the middle ear. The procedure uses a small, high-definition endoscope to provide a clear and magnified view of the ear structures, allowing the surgeon to access and treat disease through the natural ear canal in selected cases. It may be used for conditions such as chronic ear infections, eardrum problems, cholesteatoma, and certain middle-ear disorders. Compared with conventional techniques, endoscopic surgery can provide improved visualization of difficult-to-reach areas and may reduce the need for larger incisions behind the ear. Depending on the condition and extent of disease, the procedure can help control infection, preserve healthy ear structures, and improve hearing where possible. A detailed examination and hearing assessment are performed before surgery to determine whether an endoscopic approach is appropriate for the individual patient.
